Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) is Set to Celebrate the Legacy of Sheikh Zayed
The 16th Edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) will be held from September 25th to 29th at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, this year’s exhibition with the ‘The Year of Zayed’ as the main theme, will focus on Sheikh Zayed’s interests including the protection of the environment, falconry, sustainable hunting and equestrian.
His Excellency Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ADIHEX and Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, said, “The 16th Edition of ADIHEX has been dedicated to celebrate the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The exhibition will highlight the most important initiatives and projects laid down by the former UAE leader in areas of falconry, equestrian, conservation of the environment and sustainable hunting.”
ADIHEX 2018 is organised by Emirates Falconers’ Club and will be sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival, Wahat Al Zaweya, the Dhabian Equestrian Club, Smart Design LLC and Tiger Properties.
The exhibition is supported by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC), the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) and The Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee in addition to many local, regional and international media partners.
Extensive participation of international exhibitors
The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, the region’s largest exhibition for hunting, equestrian and heritage preservation attracts a large and diverse number of exhibitors. This year, ADIHEX will have several new exhibitors from the UAE and all around the world, expanding the size of the exhibition where they expect a high number of visitors.
The 16th Edition of ADIHEX also has attractions that appeal to the large number of trade and consumer visitors such as the promotion and preservation of environmental and cultural heritage, hunting equipment, tourism, safaris, weapons, falconry, equestrian, sports fishing, marine sports, outdoor leisure and vehicle equipment, in addition to arts, crafts and entertainment for children.
Previous editions of ADIHEX have also allowed visitors to experience UAE cultural heritage in all its aspects and learn about the latest equipment for camping, fishing and hunting equipment, watersports, outdoor sports, and equestrian activities.
Last year’s exhibition was a great success and had attracted more than 100,000 visitors from more than 120 nationalities.
New at ADIHEX 2018
The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) has witnessed significant developments over the recent years, such as improving and upgrading exhibitors’ sections to accommodate large number of visitors as well as introducing more exciting activities to attract families, children and various visitors.
“We have worked hard towards expanding and developing the vision of ADIHEX for 2018, including re-designing its look and giving it a fresh experience,” said Al Mansouri. “We have re-designed ADIHEX’s floor plan in an innovative way whereby visitors can view all the sections and activities. It will be an interactive and educational journey that inspires visitors to get more cultural awareness through a moving experience.”
“Visitors will now find it much easier to move from one section to the other and enjoy all the initiatives and activities.”
Organisers said their contractors have collaborated very closely with exhibitors to facilitate their experience and have also exerted a lot of effort to ensure that ADIHEX 2018 is an improvement on former years in terms of quality of service.
This year’s event will witness a larger number of exhibitors and a series of activities and events such as the Arabian Saluki contest, photography competition as well as recreational and heritage activities and a children’s knowledge area. The exhibition also features live performances for horses, K9 dogs, birds and falcons and hunting activities such as archery shooting range, shooting simulator, fishing simulator, paintball target shooting range and airsoft shooting. This is in addition to camel, horse and online auctions as well as art exhibitions, photo galleries and falconry.
